Dominated by the aroma and flavor of blueberry. Cherry, vanilla, caramel, and cedar are also evident to the nose. Blackberry, black cherry, and plum add to the very full mid-palate experience and the delicate tannic finish is reminiscent of bittersweet chocolate.

Awards Koeppel On Wine (October 12, 2007)Excellent
“ Whoa, this enticing wine bursts from the glass in a welter of smoke, cedar and tobacco, black currant and black raspberry with a touch of bitter chocolate that fades slightly before an onslaught of mulberry and blueberry tart. The wine is wild, earthy and mossy, composed of finely-milled and powdery tannins, polished oak and lively acid…”

"Shows the superripe qualities of this vintage in the fruit that runs from sun-warmed blackberries through cherry pie, kirsch and cassis, and also the soft, gentle tannins. Lots of oak, too. Seems best now and for a few years, due to the softness."

Following with our winemaking philosophy; this is the second vintage of our award wining Napa Valley Cabernet. This wine is a worthy successor to the quickly sold previous vintage. It combines smooth and elegant drinkability with a potent personality driven by bright cherry, deep blackberry, blackcurrant and cassis. A tickle of almond and a dash of toasty oak add some jazz. The intensity and depth derived from extended maceration sail into the lingering finish nuanced with a hint of black pepper. A stylish and vibrant wine that defines balance.

Jasmine, Dark Cherry, Black Berry, Licorice, Cassis, Cedar, Smoke…the flavors go on and on. Handcrafted in small batches from 100% dry-farmed Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, our flagship wine is ripe with subtle layers of appealing aroma and intense flavors. With sweet tannins and strong acidity, this wine is remarkably approachable today, and will age well over the next 10 to 15 years.
Produced from hand-selected grapes grown in the heart of Napa Valley, and given extra time on both French and American oak for structure and complexity, this is an exceptional example of the winemaker's art.
