Reed Renaudin
Winemaker and CEO
Reed Renaudin has been involved in the wine industry since 1996. He founded Amicus & X Winery in 2001 and has helped guide this start up company’s rapid growth. Reed has an MBA from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a BS from UC Davis. He has also completed extensive graduate research in Enology at UC Davis, and has presented his works at the American Society of Enology and Viticulture’s annual meeting. His resume is highlighted with viticulture experience working for Gallo of Sonoma, and enology experience working for Napa Valley wineries including Heitz and Cuvaison. Reed also has winemaking experience with Cape Clairault Wines in Australia. He continues to be an avid, but with age progressively less daring, snowboarder and wakeboarder, who also enjoys softball and basketball. He lives in Napa with his wife Erin, his beautiful new daughter Tate, and a house full of pets.
Erin Renaudin
Administration Director
Erin Renaudin joined the winery after spending 2 years in marketing and 5 years in education. From her extensive experience as a wine consumer, she jumped head first into the industry with a newly found passion led by her marriage to winemaker Reed Renaudin. Erin is a graduate from U.C. Santa Barbara. She loves spending time with Reed, their new baby daughter and their menagerie of pets. Erin is passionate about all creatures great and small and has been known to roam the streets of Napa rescuing stray animals.
Steve Falace
Vice President
Steve Falace brings a diverse wine industry and financial background to the winery, formerly holding senior-level finance positions at Chalone Wine Group, Girard Winery and Martin Ray Winery. Prior to entering the wine industry, Steve began his career in Chicago in banking and investments where he obtained his Series 7 and 66 licenses, followed by two years as a controller for a publicly-traded telecommunications company. Upon completion of the program in 2007, Steve will hold an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Steve also holds a BA in Economics and a minor in Spanish from DePauw University. Steve developed a passion for wine while living in Chicago, which made it an easy decision to move to wine country after his marriage to his wife Trina, who grew up in nearby Vacaville. Steve, Trina and their dog Stan have made a seamless adjustment to the Napa wine country lifestyle!!
Bruce Cunningham
Director of Sales
Bruce has been involved in the wine industry since 1987. He started in the Australian wine packaging supply business after graduating from business school and working in retail management in Sydney. This segment of the business also included representing many French cooperages and glass suppliers, working directly with the winemakers across the country. He then spent several years visiting various European wine regions before returning to Adelaide to undertake the Wine Marketing degree at University of Adelaide (graduating in 1995). Bruce relocated to New York in 1996 to help launch the McGuigan Wines brand in the USA. In 2000, he joined the renowned Australian wine importer, Old Bridge Cellars, as National Sales Director, until the business was sold in 2003. In 2004, Bruce relocated to California where he then consulted to various Australian wine companies, including another renowned Australian wine specialist, Epicurean Wines, to help build their sales & distribution platform. Bruce finds his “outside work” interests focusing on cycling and skiing (why else live in California??) and staying very close to his much loved BBQ, though also has a love for sea-kayaking and sailing. Bruce lives in the Bay Area with Kimberly (Australia’s best export!) and their daughter Savannah.
Christine Adams
Sales and Marketing Manager
Christine has worked in the wine industry for nearly eight years, holding various position with Napa based wineries. Recently, she was involved in the sales and marketing efforts for a large Lodi winery-Ironstone Vineyards. In 2004, she worked with a successful Australian wine importer, Old Bridge Cellars, as Operations Assistant. Her passion for wine stems from her family’s involvement in the Napa rootstock business. Christine spends her free time hiking, camping, snowboarding, wakeboarding and skeet shooting. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband Andrew and their big, beautiful chocolate Lab Coco.
Maureen Cyrot Theunissen
Operations Manager
Maureen Theunissen spent 10 years in Corporate America after graduation from UC Berkeley. She gained experience in online marketing, application project management and business process development at her previous jobs with Sapient, Providian, Franklin Templeton and Clorox. She joined X Winery in October of 2004 to indulge in her passion for wine (and bring her skills and knowledge to the winery.) Outside of work, she loves skiing, cycling, wine tasting and catching up on her reading which includes piles of books on history, science fiction and everything in between. She lives in the Napa Valley with her husband Cobus and her two sons, Daniel and Colin.
