X Winery & Amicus were created in 2000 by an MS/MBA candidate with the idea of creating niche wines to satisfy needs in the marketplace. Our passion and commitment is to build on what our predecessors (over the last 4000 years) have accomplished, and provide wines in underserved segments. Our company is focused on innovation, efficiency, service, and imagination and we have a deep desire to satisfy wine lovers the world over. Our goal is to please, spark conversation, and to bring reward to all that find our wines.
X Winery was created to utilize efficiency and imagination to create wines that over deliver on quality. The wines display the innovations of years of experimentation and represent our review and passion for excellence. Each year, we try to continue to improve via research and a commitment to share new ideas with our peers. Our goal is to continue to achieve excellence via collective progress of our passion.
AMICUS CELLARS
X Winery also produces Amicus (Latin for friend) which celebrates the connection between wine and friendship. These wines are very limited in production and represent the best barrels from beautifully farmed vineyards in the Spring Mountain District of the Napa Valley.
The winemaker’s vision is to make a wine that is approachable upon release, but will continue to improve with moderate aging and has the longevity of the greatest wines of the world. The release dates of these vary with each vintage. On average it is released three years after harvest.
